Upavista Konasana B
Had a nice solo PS practice at the studio yesterday, Tuesday, after work. It took me most of the fundamental sequence to get focused, but better late than never.
Funny how sometimes I'm more at ease in the standing sequence and not crazy about the seated part, and other times I can't wait to get the standing portion out of the way so that I can do the seated asanas. Another mystery of the mind and how it affects our moods, I guess.
Speaking of seated asanas, one of these days I'd like to do Upavista Konasana B with straight legs. Lifting both legs to meet my stretched arms is always so elusive to me unless I bend them a little. I suspect it has to do with a combination of not-so-strong bandhas and tight lower back.
Cranked my neck in Setu Bandhasana last night. That's what I get for not paying attention and placing more weight on the top of my head rather than the outside of my feet.
Not sure whether to do another solo practice tonight, it'll have to be at home though, or take the Vinyasa class at the studio. The teacher/owner is not teaching tonight as I heard that he's not feeling well, so I might just head home after work, turn off the phones and turn my living room into a shala for an hour and a half.

Somedays I get lazy and don't lift my legs up straight to meet my arms of Upavista Konasana...yeah I found it was bandhas and finding the balance on my sit bones to roll them up. Did your neck hurt when you cracked in? I actually like setu bandasana.
Yeah, it did hurt and still is a little sore.
I like Setu Bandhasana too.
I'll just have to be careful next time I do it. Can't get careless in this practice.
